Fulham Heights receives a Sustainable Design Award as part of the AfriSam-SAIA Awards 2018.
Fulham Heights, a mixed-use conversion of a Victorian-era corner shop in Brixton, Johannesburg, was awarded the Sustainable Architecture Award as part of the 2017/2018 AfriSam-SAIA Award for Sustainable Architecture + Innovation. Fulham Heights is one of the first mixed-use densification projects that promote the principals and guidelines of the Johannesburg Corridors of Freedom policy. It includes retail facilities, offices and residential spaces. The project intends to be a lighthouse of hope and regeneration, promoting passive surveillance in a notoriously high-crime area.
